AboutAnthony Falcone Expertise I have been working with (and driving) a first generation Mitsubishi Eclipse for several years. Anything that could go wrong with an Eclipse has probably happened on mine. Fortunately, I have gained a lot of knowledge from experience in repairing these problems myself.
Experience Identifying and repairing problems in mechanical and electrical areas. Plus, I have learned many ways to enhance performance to the incredible engine Mitsubishi put in their early model Turbos.

Question when i come to a complete stop and then press the gas it feels like its not getting gas or air and feels like it wants to stall but once i get going it doesn't do that even if i do a "California stop/rolling stop" it does not do that
Answer Josh,
This could be caused by a number of things. Having your mechanic inspect the ignition/charging system, fuel system, and air intake/exhaust system should reveal the problem. Here are some common causes:
Poor battery
Poor alternator
Bad spark plugs/ignition coils
Clogged air filter
Clogged fuel filter
Clogged fuel injector
Malfunctioning throttle position sensor
Malfunctioning idle speed controller
Malfunctioning EGR valve
Have your mechanic be sure to at least inspect those items.
God luck!
