Mitsubishi Repair - Thermostat

Expert: Anthony Falcone - 10/30/2009

Question
Where is the thermostat in a mitsubishi magna 1999 th 3.5L ???

Answer
Shannon,
The Magna was not a vehicle in the US, so I'm not familiar with the engine layout.  But a general rule of thumb for locating the thermostat on most any car is to follow the large upper radiator hose from the radiator back to the engine.  Where the hose ends near the engine should be where the thermostat housing is.  The thermostat is located inside the housing.  You may need to remove some covers or other components if they are located over the radiator hose and/or housing.
Good luck!
