Question
2001 eclipse GT spyder 3.0 auto
I was driving down the road approximately 45-50 mph and my rpms bogged down and my engine shut off. My timing belt is on. My engine cranks but I have no spark to my distributor and I have no fuel sending. Can you help me out?

Answer
Matt,
This can be caused by a number of things.  Anything from a bad fuel pump to a malfunctioning engine control unit.  The best idea would be to have your car brought to a mechanic and have them do a thorough inspection of the both the ignition system and fuel system.
Good luck!

Expertise

I have been working with (and driving) a first generation Mitsubishi Eclipse for several years. Anything that could go wrong with an Eclipse has probably happened on mine. Fortunately, I have gained a lot of knowledge from experience in repairing these problems myself.

Experience

Identifying and repairing problems in mechanical and electrical areas. Plus, I have learned many ways to enhance performance to the incredible engine Mitsubishi put in their early model Turbos.
