Expert: Anthony Falcone - 10/10/2009

Question
my eclipse 's steering wheel needs to be turned back to the correct position after making a turn, more a right turn then left but it seems like the elasticity in the steering wheel isnt there  can it be a hose of some sort, my fluid is fine in the car

Answer
Renee,
There may be a problem with your steering rack; naming the rack and pinion mechanism.  You should have mechanic inspect your steering rack and suspension components as they are linked together.  An inspection of your power steering pump and lines should be done.
Good luck!
