Question
i have a 1993 3000gt vr4 that when im driving the rpms will bounce between 1000 and 3500 it wouldnt accelerate and the engine wouldnt rev as it did that there was a clicking sound on the passenger side of the center console. i tried resetting the aftermarket computer and it ran fine for a while then it did the same thing died and now it wont start at all and i dont know where to begin looking for the problem.

Answer
Michael,
If you have a piggyback computer along with your main ECU, you may want to check your ECU.  Mitsubishis made between 1989-1994 had ECUs that were produced with under-rated capacitors, which would leak over time and ruin the circuit board.  Pull the ECU and inspect it for damage.  You may find your problem there.
Good luck!

Expertise

I have been working with (and driving) a first generation Mitsubishi Eclipse for several years. Anything that could go wrong with an Eclipse has probably happened on mine. Fortunately, I have gained a lot of knowledge from experience in repairing these problems myself.

Experience

Identifying and repairing problems in mechanical and electrical areas. Plus, I have learned many ways to enhance performance to the incredible engine Mitsubishi put in their early model Turbos.
