AboutAnthony Falcone Expertise I have been working with (and driving) a first generation Mitsubishi Eclipse for several years. Anything that could go wrong with an Eclipse has probably happened on mine. Fortunately, I have gained a lot of knowledge from experience in repairing these problems myself.
Experience Identifying and repairing problems in mechanical and electrical areas. Plus, I have learned many ways to enhance performance to the incredible engine Mitsubishi put in their early model Turbos.

Question As the subject suggests, I am having problems figuring-out how to change the license plate light. The manual is missing, and so I am hoping you might be able to provide me with the steps necessary to accomplish what is probably a simple task. I have removed the screw, but am at a loss as to what to do from there. Am I just missing something obvious? Is something stuck? I just can't seem to get the light out, and don't want to damage anything. Your help is greatly appreciated, as I have already been pulled-over twice(!) for not having a light. Thank you again.
Answer Hannah,
With the screws removed, you should be able to remove the cover and gain access to the bulb. There typically is a gasket or other sealant that can make it difficult to remove. But with a firm (yet careful) pulling, you should be able to get it.
Good luck!
