Question
Where can I find already assembled oil storage tanks, and the necessary piping, fittings, shut off valves, etc to make an oil refinery for my O gauge layout. Thanks, Jack
Answer Jack,
Unfortunately, nothing is readily available on the market. Here's a few options for you.
1- MTH - Rail King produced an assembled oil storage facility. Its out of production. You might find on on eBay or a local train store or keep a look out at the regional train shows and swap meets.
2- Walthers Cornerstone series made an oil storage kit. Same as above, they do show up on eBay and at local shows.
3- Plaststruct Models makes a model of an O-scale refinery. Its an advanced model to build. They're readily available from the manufacturer.
If you need assistance finding these items, I'm a pro-builder of model railroads. I could help you find some of these items. And if you need it to be put together, please contact me about my services. You can reach me at john@railroadmodelscenery.com or johnschaub@optimum.net
