About Rem Heck

Expertise
Model Railroading. I'm sorry I can't help with valuations, Lionel/Flyer or specific DCC systems technical questions. I can help with any modeling technique, most two rail wiring questions, and principles of DCC. I'm best at true scale and realistic finishing techniques and consider "museum quality" to be an excellent standard. I consider "rivet counting" to be excessive and counter-productive to the enjoyment of the hobby.

Experience
I have personally modeled HO scale for 50 years. I have done work both personally and professionally in other other scales and gauges to include N, HOn3, O (true scale), On30 and G. I operated my own model manufacturing business from 1991 thru 2006 when my wife, Linda, took over because my motor control deteriorated to the point that I could no longer do the fine work personally. I still help with kit design and manufacturing.
