Question Just a few questions I have nothing to crazy. Is this a re make of the AirFix kit that was made awhile ago? Does the kit come with window inserts. If I was wanting to light it with LED's is there enough room to you that I would be able to work with. And does anyone have an actual picture of it as a finished product? Thank you for taking the time to read this and I'm looking forward to hearing your response.
Answer Thomas,
I believe that the kit is the same from both Heller and Airfix. It dates from the time that they collaborated on kits.
If it is the same not all windows and portholes have insets. With a beam of 2 5/8" you could light it, but I would recommend using light fibers rather than LEDs. Even though LEDs don't produce a great deal of heat a number of them could be an issue.
As far as a photo of the completed model I do not recollect seeing one yet.
