Question I am almost 20 years old. And things got out of hand with a girlfriend of mine. Which was okay i guess but we stopped. Then her boyfriend starts touching me.. Kept doing it repeatedly after many nos and push aways. I just dont know if i should file a report.. I dont want to look stupid. Any advice?
Answer Kassie, NO means NO in most languages. Is this going to happen again with this guy or not? If you left yourself in a compromising position, then you are going to have to try to defend yourself and the situation that was created initially. Whether you want to go that way is up to you, but it doesn't sound like such an open-closed case of molestation, from the few details you provided.
If you were violated and you have a witness with your girlfriend, then you can file a report. I suppose you can file a report anyway, just to get the message across to this guy. A little conversation with the authorities might sway his opinion if he has thoughts of repeating his sexual assault behaviors.
Some advice is available at www.rainn.org on sexual assault.
If you are traumatized from this incident, then I suggest use of EFT (www.emofree.com) either self-administered or with assistance of an EFT practitioner in the UK. There is a list on the website, plus a free EFT manual download.
I hope that you have learned some new things about boundaries and who you want to "play" with in a sexual manner. There are a lot of hormones flowing around there, so keep your wits about you at all times. Learn to be VERY strong and confident when you want your wishes observed.
I hope this is helpful,
William Silver
