Monitor Problems - dark

Expert: Chris Morrison - 2/18/2008

Question
way too dark you can not see things very well

Answer
Most monitor have three buttons. AUTO, a menu button and two selection buttons. Use the menu button and the section buttons to navigate the menu and adjust the brightness and contrast. Pressing auto may sometimes also fix this.
There also similar settings in windows if your video card supports it. Right click the desktop and choose properties. Go to settings and click advanced. Look for a tab for your video card and settings.
If still not good the backlight may be going out. You'll have to contact the manufacturer about getting it fixed.
