Question
After signing in, my desktop display shows a white rectangle
(3"x 5")in the right hand corner of the screen.
I can only lose it by dragging the block down to the edge of the display.Any ideas?

Answer
if you can move it, it has nothing to do with the monitor. It is most likely a process that is not finishing.
Install and run this program
