Actually, it could also be your motherbaoard as well. Motherboard issues can cause this to happen alot, and also if your hard drive is not plugged in all the way - as my was today which made the monitor not turn on for some reason.

I have the same problem with my monitor, all i did was that i brought a new computer and plugged it in the old monitor, the new computer have a much faster video card better power supply and core 2 "quad" processor instead of core 2 "due" and there is nothing wrong with the monitor because it worked perfectly on the old computer, so a called a technician and he fixed it some how!!! i think it was something related to the "analog and digital" connection cable, and the monitor installation setup (so i suggest you call a technician befor you change you power suplly)
