Monitor Problems/monitor won't turn on
Expert: Martha Valencia - 1/28/2004
QuestionI was wondering if you would know what would cause my monitor not to kick on when my computers up? I know the monitor is not bad because i tried it on my brother's comp. I'm pretty sure its not the video card because i tried a different one and that didn't help.Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
AnswerA monitor that does not turn on could be caused by at least three different points of failure: the computer power supply, the video card, and the monitor itself. As you are sure it isn't the monitor and the video card is working well, then it must be the computer power supply.
I suggest you fix your power supply. Here are the steps of how to do it, try to get a technician.
