Question
Hi

I live in Australia and i recently discovered a short 16mm film at a local flee market. The person who i had bought it off, told me. That he didn't have any way to view the film, all he knew was that there was something on it.

I decided to have the film converted on to DVD and upon playing the DVD. I discovered a 27 second film of footage of the monkees standing in front of fans on a balcony.
The film is black and white and there is no sound. The film is in perfect condition with no damage or wear.

I bought the film for $10, would you know by any chance how much this film would be worth?
If you could reply ASAP, i would really appreciate it.

Thank you

from Mark

Answer
Without seeing the film it sounds like footage from the Monkees first visit to Australia. There is pretty common footage of them standing on a hotel balcony talking to fans or the press. If this is a film that someone shot from that and not just a copy it might be worth something but I have no idea how much and I don't know anyone who could authenticate it or give you an idea as to it's worth. Sorry. If you really want to sell it you might try an Ebay auction.
