Expert: Sebastien Robert - 3/30/2001

This may be a shot in the dark, but about twelve years ago, was Chris Peters highlighted in a Sports Illustrated article in which he was about to set a record for 50 straight wins at his highschool.  I may be way off on this but it is driving me crazy, I think it might even have been a Cover Story.  Any info on if this was him or who it was would be greatly appreciated.

Well, you happen to fall on not only an Expos fan, but a baseball fan AND a longtime SI subscriber too :-) The Peters who was on the cover of SI was Jon Peters, or as they called him back then the next Nolan Ryan. It's funny you bring this up, cuz I was asking myself the same question about 8-9 years ago when the A's drafted 4 pitchers in the first round of the draft, and one of them was Don Peters. So there you are, hope this settles the feud you were having with your mind :-)
