Question
I believe it is the S&S?  Does that make sense?  I am new to all this.

Question -
1978 Superglide - Problem started after my friend adjusted carb regulator/mixture screw(not sure what it was).  It now backfires and when starting off it putters like it is getting no gas or something.  Carbs have been cleaned and it was recently ($500 later) serviced due to the fact that it was in storage for a while. Thanks for your help

Answer -
What carb you running?
Mike

Answer
first, reset your air/fuel mixture screw that your friend messed with. Start the bike and let it warm up. Now slowly turn the screw inward just until the bike starts to stumble and then outward 1/4 turn. Now its set.
Take the bike for a ride. If you are still having the same problem check your intermediate jet for dirt and also check the float
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
