Question
Recently had ignition switch worked on...went to start it and all I heard was clicking noise...the horn and light worked...so I knew it wasn't the battery or cables...starter is a year old...could the brushes in the starter be bad? I tried several times and once it sounded like it was going to start and then just the clicking again.  Should I invest in a new starter?
Thanks for your expertise!  Jessica

Answer
First thing I would check is the battery. Make sure its good and is charged up all the way. If your lights work you still might not have enough cranking amps to turn the motor over. Check the battery cables at both ends. Bad ground will cause your problem. If it still does not work change the starter relay.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
