Question I just purchased a 2003 fatboy FI, I was wondering if a DFO/TFI or powercommander are realy needed on a stage one build up? Are the bikes running Stage one set up really that lean? I have a Hypercharger air filtration set up and a stage one performance calibration and my favorite pipe a, " V&H pro-pipe". Will a Fuel management unit help out and how does it help? Thanks a lot. I am a South Side Chicago boy also. Go White Sox.
Answer Hi Dino.
Forget about the DFO/TFI..... It is not worth $0.01 Cent.
The powercommander USB is the only way to tune the bike correctly. You will have to have a custom map made. You are losing Horse power and torque with the Hypercharger air cleaner set up. It is all a bunch of Hipe!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get a Bobby Wood 340cfm Hi-Flow air filter kit and it is like running no air filter at all. It doe's not take away any Horse power or torque. The vance and hines pro pipe 2 into 1 exhaust is a very good pipe. The best was A White Brother's E-Series 2 into 1. But they quit making them. Dont figure???. White Sox all the way BRO... SS-Johnny
