have the same exact problem.. will start  by shorting at starter or push start.start button not problem.ignition switch not problem.going to check dimmer switch which has a wire going to starter switch.check ignition control module for corrosion

I stand corrected. starter button did it. lifted contact in button its self to make better conection. problem solved...cutos to you real pro
