Motorcycle Repair/Triple Trees

Question
I have a 2001 FXST.  I would like to put 4 degree triple trees on the bike. Concerned about trail measurements.  All my research to date has given me different answers.  Want the bike to still handle normal riding conditions. Would appreciate your advice. Thanks.

Answer
The one thing you have to remember about adding degrees to the front end, it will handle better in a straight line, but will handle worse in a turn. Adding 4 degrees is not a problem, but you will have to lengthen the fork tubes to make up for the angle.
Good luck and happy riding
