I had the same sypmtoms with my 1972 Honda CB 175 (K5). Whenever the blinkers quit winking, I just lifted the seat and tapped on the flasher unit & they would begin to work again. Still haven't replaced my flasher unit, I'll get it this winter. Hope that helps.
