when the sound is the most evident,engine unloaded,note rpm range.at that rpm range remove the plug cap from #1 cyl,listen for sound change.do this on each cyl.sound still there on #1,try #2,#3,then #4.note;3 cylinders must be running when a deactivated cyl is off.if plug cap is removed and sound is gone.that is a large bearing clearance on the rod.
