Question
rick,

first off..it's really cool that you take the time to answer idiots like me!

í just had some cylinder work done on my 1980 honda cr250r (last of the air cooled i think).  somewhere along the line, i lost my manual.  can you tell me what the torque specs are for both the cylinder and head bolts/nuts?

thanks,

jim

Answer
Jim, I'm not sure what size those are but I'm guessing they are 10 mm or so.  This link should help you.  Just remember to put a little oil on the threads so you get an even torque.  I'd recommend torquing them up in 3 steps to make sure you get an even load on the head gasket.  So don't go to the full torque right away.
