Subject: ninja clutch oil leak

Question
I recently got a 90' ninja 750r from a friend that was in an accident and dismantled.  I've pieced it together and shortly after starting it for the first time (five minutes or so) it began leaking oil from the clutch area.  After further inspection it seems to be from the push rod that lies beneath the slave cylinder of the hydrolic clutch line.  Does that make any sense, and how do I stop it? Thanks Wayne!

Answer
Reid,

Yes it could be either the slave
cylinder seal or the push rod leaking.
If you lose clutch fluid then it's
the slave, if not it might
be the push rod leaking engine oil.

Sometimes the push rod seal is not
shown on parts diagrams.
You might have to have a look
to see what it has and if you can
get one anywhere.
Should not be too hard to install.
