Motorcycle Repair - Brake Light stays on

Expert: Jan Ringnalda - 10/28/2009

Question
I have a 2001 Honda 750 ACE and the brake light will not go off.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Answer
Check if it is the front light switch or the rear brake light switch.  Easily done by disconnecting one wire from the brake light switch on the front brake lever, or one wire off the rear brake light switch near the foot pedal.  Once you find out which one is causing the problem, check the return spring and check for short circuits.  Good luck,  Jan
