Question
I brought a ZXR a little bit ago, and I have had the carburetors set by a mechanic. When I am running the bike cold it starts easily and will rev up to 14000, but the red line is at 19500 so this is my first problem.
When the bike gets warmer it splutters at 7000 revs and wont go any higher no matter the combination of throttle and choke (i can get over 7000 revs by changing gear) and at 14000 it wont get any higher and it spluters , when i pull up to the lights it often cuts out which means i have to wait 10mins for it to cool down before it will start again ( bump or by the starter motor). When in the rain all these points are worse.

Thankyou in advance

Answer
I think your carburation is still way off.  Also check the advancer for the ignition, as when that sticks the bike will not rev out.  Sorry I don't know the ZXR so if you need more, ask me a follow up and I will put the question into the main question pool.  Thanks,  Jan
