Motorcycle Repair - my 07 ultra miss's at certian rpm

Expert: Mike Wells - 6/27/2009

Question
QUESTION: any idea what would cause my 96" to miss at 2000-2200 rpm?
some times it will miss when taking off. it started about 8 weeks ago with just a little "oops" but has become a constant problem. I have a thunder max on it and put on a friends to see what happened and it still did it.. must not be the thunder max. What else could it be?

ANSWER: Pull you plugs and let me know what color they are

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: Mike, the plugs are new. the old ones looked good when changed..i've been looking around and have found things like crank position sensor and o2 sensor

Answer
It sounds like one of your sensers is cutting out. The Problem is going to be which one. There are two ways to go here. You can have a dianostic run on the bike and that would tell you which one, or you could start changing sensers until you hit the right one. the dianostic would be the cheaper way to go
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
