Question
QUESTION: I have a 1981 low rider that was handed down to me by my late brother. I have started the bike last year started fine and warmed up nicely, but when i give it gas it tends to bog down i am assuming i need to rebuild the carb where would the number be located i have found a number 27472-81 but this appears i can not bring anything up to reference it. Any help would be thankful. Thanks

ANSWER: What you need is a rebuild kit for a keihin carb 76-89. All the years are the same kit

QUESTION: thank you for the advice i did find a 2nd number on the carb. Would this number be the one if the rebuild does not work and i have to order another one? B79ESL22
THANKS

Answer
You should be able to rebuild the carb, but if you cant, the first part number you gave me is the harley part number for the carb. Harley probably donest have that carb anymore, so if you need a new one just order the keihin carb for 76-89. the second number is the manufacture number.
Good luck and happy riding
