Question I am thinking about ordering Bub Jug Huggers pipes for my 2005 Honda VTX 1300S and I have heard that you didnt have to have a jet kit and you would only have to adjust you A/F Screw on the carb. I also heard that on the 05 and later models that you do not have to have a jet kit to run these pipes.
Answer There is a VTX website that can give you a better idea of what works and what doesn't than I do. You have to rely on the manufacturer's statements, to a certain extent. Generally, a little richening out on the mixture screw takes away the flat spot off-idle on most emission controlled bikes. That only works on the idle and transition to part throttle. After that, the needle and main jets get involved.
