|Comment||I counted the links on the incorrect 530 that came on the scrambler when I bought it and I could see right off that something wasn't right. It was 99 links without the master link, so I was correct in my conclusion. I just needed to hear it from the experts before I make another purchase. Another guy on a different forum had run into the same problem and it was from him that the question of the O ring emerged from. Just the same I am glad I added that to my questions. There are not many CL72 around where I lived. I have only seen one in nice shape being ridden just outside of town. He was going the opposite way when I spotted him; SHUCKS ! HE WOULD HAVE BECOME MY INSTANT FRIEND. I will be buying your restoration guide material in the near future I have been bitten buy the CL72 Bug; it is relentless.|

Need help with vintage Hondas from the 1960s? I am an expert with 250-305cc bikes in particular and most all of the other pre-91 models, in general. I do NOT claim to have a great deal of experience on Gold Wings, Cruisers, ATC/ATVs and dirt bikes.
I have owned/ridden/maintained Honda motorcycles for 35 years. I have written five books on Honda repairs and collecting. I was a service manager for two Honda shops back in the 1980s.
