Question I bought on EBay a chromed set of lower leg for my Road King 2003 , can you indicate me the step by step process to replace lower leg fork.
Thanks.
Answer First jack the bike up. remove the wheel and fender. located on the side the each fork is a drain screw for the for oil. remove it and drain the forks. You will have to remove the covers over the forks at the top. remove the dust cover. under it you will find a clip which holds the seal in. remove it. At the bottom of the each leg, inside, ther is a allen bolt. Remove it and the lower leg will slide off the upper leg. Slide the new seal on the upper leg with washer and put the rest together in reverse order and install the fork oil through the top cap.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
