Question Arctic cat zl 600 EFI...not starting but will run while sqirting gas into throat..Is there a way to check,troubleshoot the ecu,fuel pump,and,or fuel injectors? thanks,the arctic cat expert is not there...
Answer first thanks for using all experts web site for yur question.
first of all we know you have fire . so the ecu should not be the problem. you may want to put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel line coming from the pump,and chk the pressure the pump is putting out. right off hand i dont know what the pressure should be to open injectors. but they do need a certain amount of fuel pressure to open up and spray into the intake. if you have adequate pressure ,then i would see if the fuel pressure regulator is working correctly. also take a test light when trying to crank and connect to the fuel injectors to see if they are getting fire to them. this should help you get back to the fun again.of riding.thanks for the question and keep riding.
