hola Mitch,

i just got my new 2007 ktm 250 exc,euro version,put away all the regulators and the thing runs smooth but don't gets the high rpms,i live in costa rica,sea level 30/35 Celsius,run 165/high, needle 3rd position,35/low,1 turn air,tried many different settings ,like 162,more and less air,if i go more than 165 i cannot ride long anymore and i need to go long sometimes to get fuel,any help would be more than welcomed...a little dissapointed because i just gave my old 200 ktm/exc away and with the manual that little beast run better than my new 250,

hola ,

sounds to me you have a needle valve problem , or the carb could possibbly not be jetted correctly.highspeed jet sounds bad to me. iwould take it out and clean it well this should solve the ptoblem.good luck and keepriding .hope this answer is what you were looking for .
