The TSM is actually mounted behind the headlight in the nacelle. It will be on the left side if sitting on the bike. If you turn your handlebars to the right, and look between the gas tank and forks you will see a rectangular box with a 7/16 bolt running through it. When you loosen the bolt and remove the TSM, the plug will have eight leads in it.

BOBO is right on the money, on my 99 road king X-cop bike, the TSM is on the left side, right behind the headlight housing.
