Bike started cutting out slightly. Not too noticable, something did not feel right. Stopped engine, did not start again. Tried new battery. Probed around with a tester, fuse bad. replaced fuse still would not start. been sitting since. Thought it might be the stator. Don't know how to test.
Answer -
Hi Larry, not enough info...does it turn over but not fire up or it doesnt turn over at all?

Answer
Hi Larry, I am going to take a chance here and guess that you need some new points. If it has CDI ignition, then suspect the CDI unit. There is no test you can perform on the CDI box..If you were having a stator failure your bike wouldn't be charging the battery. Any way lets focus on the no spark and check your breaker points and or replace the CDI box after a thorough check for loose connections and obvious other wiring problems that can cause a now spark OKAY?

         good luck
