Question
Hi Harry - I fell in love with this great couch, but I'm worried it won't fit into my new apartment, and it seems no one at the store is willing to help me.  The couch is 99 Wide x 48 D x 40 height.  The tricky part is that the door to the apartment opens and then there is a sharp right to a staircase.  The door to the apartment is 34 wide x 78 high.  Once the door is open you have 38 wide to work with from entrance way to wall.  So, the door will fall open against a wall to the left and there is a staircase to the right - enormous ceilings, so no problem there.

I'd appreciate any advice at all!  Also, if it won't work, would you recommend going through the window with it?

Thank a bunch!!
Shauna

Answer
Hello Shauna,

I am afraid that this sofa doesn't have a chance in through that door and turn. The 38" to the wall is not nearly enough to even get started. Putting the sofa through the window is definately an option but exactly how to do it would depend on where the window is in relationship to the ground.

Let me know any further details you might have concerning the window idea. The window should be at least 50"H (bare minimum) and at least 37"W unless the 40" height can be lowered by removing legs and or back cushions.

Keep me posted,

Harry
