Question I have a new sofa. The door measures 31 1/2". The sofa is 97" long and 38" wide and 38" deep. will it fit in my door?
Answer Hello JW,
I don't know what the height measurement is on the sofa unless it is the 38" wide measurement you stated. If it is 38", it is going to be extremely snug. I would like to see the sofa back height no higher than 35" if you had a choice. If you have removable legs or back cushions that could lower the height, it should work out just fine. It also depends if you have a straight shot for the sofa and if there are any obsticles in the way.
Finally, I am assuming that this sofa is a standard style where the back is higher than the arms.
