Question
Hi, I am considering purchasing a chair from Walmart. It's dimensions are 40L x 38W x 39H. The doorway to the room is approx. 28.5 inches (but might be smaller with the door open). I am wondering if there is ANY possibility that this can be maneuvered into my room. I need to know this before I buy it. Thanks!
If you want to see the chair, here's the link: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=8065893

Answer
Hello Andrea,

I looked over the link you sent me. I was hoping that the back cushion was removable but the info says it is attached. I feel that this chair just won't work for your 28" situation even if the back cushion could be squeezed down. I also believe that the arms are to tall for that narrow doorway. The chair would need to be tipped on its side and wrapped around the door frame edge. This maneuver would require an open space on the other side of the doorway. The big thing is that if the arms are about 27" high, it would take up almost all the door width when tipped on its side and leave no room for maneuvering.

I hope this helps you to make a decision.

Let me know if I can help you further,

Harry
