Don't know if I am asking the wrong person so if I am then please direct me to the correct Expert.
I shot a short movie on my Canon digital camera that I want to send to some friends. When I attach it to an email a message comes up that the file is too big. How do I reduce the size or how can I send it.

you are in the wrong category but i can help you.
you need to compress the file in either a .zip file or .rar file using a program such as winzip. 7-zip is freeware and does exactly the same. this will reduce size but still may not reduce it enough. if not then there are shareware programs you can buy to send very large files or you can send through msn messenger any sized file.
