Question I want to see if the HP A1120n HP computer will be able to handle simple music transfer. I have some old reel to reel tapes that I want to put on CD.
2. I also want to transfer some home video tapes to DVD using this computer I have AVerMedia Ultra TV PCI 300 Desktop TV Tuner/PVR that I use with my older HP, but the older HP just doesn't have enough power for this. I can play about 10 minutes of a DVD movie through my old computer then it locks up.
Can you assist about this A1120n computer (HP). Or perhaps steer me to a place that might? One salesperson says yes... I says no... I'm not sure the salespeople are the best advice?
Thanks
Answer This computer is fine for what you want to do, in terms of it's specfication. The main problem with old machines is the amount of storage required for video of any decent quality and the machine you have picked, accoring to the foolwing web site, has a 200GB hdd. http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=4046314
You may, however, need an additional HDD if you are planning to put a lot of video footage on your machine. I would suggest something like a Lacie, 250GB FW drive.
Cheers
