Question Hey rob,
I am an intermidiate guitarist, and i'm looking for some advice on recording and pedals and such. I would like to know how I can record music onto my computer to burn them to CDs. I heard about the ZOOM G21U from ultimate-guitar.com and it said it had a USB interface. does this mean i can hook it up to my computer and record sound? if not, what can I use to accomplish such a feat? thanks alot,
jayson
Answer Yo Jayson,
The zoom pedal is a great piece of kit, it has drum patterns that you can play along to and loads of sounds. The usb interface does mean that you can connect it to your PC and record your music on the PC. The pedal comes with CubaseLE which is a music recording program, so that will do exactly what you want to do. The LE version will not have all the functions that the full version will have, but I'm not sure how much that will hinder you. You can always buy the full version, if you get on with it. I use Sonar 3 studio by Cakewalk and that is ace. Also Audition by Adobe, which used to be called Cool Edit Pro, has multitrack recording, but I don't think that it works with Midi devices.
Hope this helps
Rob
