Question Hi Rob,
I have Windows Media Player 9 on my computer.
I've recorded some demo CDs, and I would like to copy these CDs to my computer as an *mp3* file using Windows Media Player. I can transfer the CD music ok onto my computer with Windows Media Player, but it is stored as a different type of file...... not as an mp3.
The Windows Media Player advises I go to "tools, options, copy music" in order to configure settings to produce an mp3 file....... I've done that and can't find any reference to mp3 files there.
Preferably I'd like to make an mp3 file of the music directly from the CD to the computer. If this can't be done, then is there a way to convert the WMA file type I'm getting to mp3?
Thanks for any help.
Jim.
Answer Hi,
If you download Media Player 10, it allows you to select MP3 as the proefered file instead of WMA. If you search the internet for wma to mp3 there are some converters, but I would be tempted to do it all through media player.
Hope this helps
Rob
