I recently bought a dvd burner and installed it in my computer. It came with Nero 6 software. So far I think that everything is working ok. I only burned one cd so far from some mp3 files that I have on my hard drive.
My question is this. I can't seem to figure out how to convert a .wav file to an mp3. If I put a music cd into the drive, I can record it to my hard drive but after I get it recorded I can't figure out how to convert the tracks to mp3 files. Also, when it records, it lists the tracks as track 1 and track 2 and so on instead of giving any track titles and names of artist. I don't know if I need to go on the internet and try to get some additional software to make mp3s?
Thank you for any help that you can give me in this matter.
Sincerely, Steve Bose
Answer Hiya,
1) Download and install Windows media player 10.
2) Go to Tools\Options\Rip Music and change the settings in the drop down box to MP3. Select the quality you require.
3) Put your music CD in and go to RIP
4)Click Find Album info, this will go on the net and download the album details.
5) Click Update or finish to save those details
5) Select the tracks you want to copy and Rip the music. This will save the mp3's into your My Music folder alond with the track names and album artwork.
You can then use nero to burn the mp3's from that folder on the a data CD that you can use in a mp3 compatible player.
Hope this helps
