Question hi, i've got a Behringer ADA8000 Ultragain Pro-8 mic pre,it only has one button to turn on the phantom power on all channels, and ive got a cad 7drum pack.that has 5 dynamic microphones, and 2 condenser,i want to know what would happen if i plug in all of them and turn on the switch? would it make sound bad the dynamics?or too loud?
Answer Hiya,
Phantom power is designed to supply power via the microphone lead to microphones that use this feature. If a microphone can make use of phantom power then it will give the mike the power it needs to run correctly, if it doesn't, then it should have no effect as the mike will not be wired to receive the power.
Hope this helps
