Question How to set up a microphone to the computer to speak or sing and can be heard at the same time?
Is there specific software I need to use?
Thanks,
Answer This is possible to do.
Plug your microphone into the microphone input of the computer. Double click on the speak icon that is found on your bottom toolbar by the clock. Click on options, then properties. Make sure that Playback is select in the bullet button and make sure that microphone is ticked. Then select the Recording bullet button and make sure that microphone is ticked as well. Click ok and you will see a slider for microphone, this adjusts the recording level of the microphone, set this at about three quarters full. Click on options again, then properties and select Playback and click on OK. Then make sure that microphone has a tick in it. You may hear a high pitched sound at this point. This is called feedback and can be reduced by moving the volume slider down. You can then bring the volume up so you can hear your voice. If you hear feedback then you either have to move further away from the speakers or turn the volume down.
Hope this helps
