Musical Genres--Folk, Jazz, Sountracks, More - Jazz Lyrics

Question
Dear Mr. Tompkins-MacLaine,

There's a song so magical it's stuck in my brain for over 20 years now.  The only thing I can remember are the few lines of lyrics that made me fall in love with it (see below).  I thought it was by The Manhattan Transfer, but have searched everywhere online to no avail.

The lyrics I remember are:

When the moon is shining so bright
On a soft Brazilian night
Siren's song is calling to you
And the moon steps into view

I truly can't remember more but it's along the same sound / line as Mark Winkler's 'Garden of Earthly Delight'.  I really go for those ethereal sounds with lyrics that draw one into a fantasy land ;-)

I hope you can help me figure out about the song I've questioned you on as I only heard it twice on the Art Good smooth jazz show on KIFM-98.1 San Diego back in the mid to late 1980s and then was forever hooked.  I'm a huge smooth jazz fan, but this is a defining song for me.

Hope you can bring back the wonderful magic of my misspent young adulthood chasing smooth jazz around the 80's/90's San Diego scene ;-)

Sincerely,
Crystal

Answer
At this very moment, I'm not much help to you at all. I looked through my Manhattan Transfer albums (I have all of them) and couldn't find anything. I immediately went to their album "Brasil," but no luck. I'm going to keep looking around so don't give up on me yet!
