Browsing the web for info about Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, I found your reply concerning them, and decided you were the right person to address.
I am trying to create pairs of vocalese Vs. original (instrumental) performances. I already have a few, and they are very exciting to listen to. But I am still looking for some instrumental performances that have been vocalized by LHR. Very specifically - "come on home" and "home cooking", but others, too ("airegin" (probably a Sonny Rollins performance, that I have failed to lay hands on), "sermonette" and others.
Any help will be appreciated.
Answer Sonny Rollins does have his version of "Airegin," of course. For the other, have you tried the music store at I Tunes? I find a lot of things on there that I usually can't find in the record stores. Each song only costs 99 cents, and it's completely legal. If that doesn't work, write me back at JeopJim@aol.com.
