Musical Genres--Folk, Jazz, Sountracks, More - Old song search

Expert: Jim Tompkins-MacLaine - 8/31/2006

Question
I'm looking for an old song my sister and learned to play on the guitar about 40 years ago. It could be catagorized as 'Folk'.  I don't know the title but some of the lyrics are;
"Today while the blossoms still cling to the vine,I'll taste your strawberries, I'll drink your sweet wine.
A million tomorrows may all pass away -
Ere I forget all the joy that is mine, today-
It would be great if you could find the title and artist for me.  Thanks a lot!

Answer
Hi,

The song is titled "Today" and is available by John Denver. Here is a link that could help.
http://www.lyricsdepot.com/John-Denver/today.html

If you go to Amazon.com, you can look for John Denver albums and it will tell you which one has the song on it.

Good luck!

Jim
