Musical Genres--Folk, Jazz, Sountracks, More - a song from CSI

Expert: Amarilis Gibeli - 8/23/2005

Question
Hi! I'm hoping you can help me. I heard this song on CSI. I'm not actually the only one looking; I've seen several threads. In fact I have a link to one where you can hear a clip of the song one of the members provided, if you want to.

http://rapidshare.de/files/3576556/CSI_Nesting_Dolls_513_I_Feel_in_the_Air_192kb...

Anyway it was  CSI episode 517 "Compulsion". And the female singer is breathy with a bit of an accent (?) -sounds a bit like Bjork or Lali Puna or Julee Cruise or something. The music is electronic and slow. The lyrics I get (and not everyone agrees on these) are:

"i'm waiting for you to save my world
so why don't you let my soul
get rid of my ghost
(small pulsing electronic beat break)
promises are turning sad
stars are bleaching
my wounds are still breathing..."

Anyway, would appreciate any help you can give. I've been looking for two years now and they just reran the episode recently so I began searching again more exhaustively.
Thank you for your time,
Dana M

Answer
Hi Dana,

Thanks for your attention.
According to a devoted researcher to CSI's matters, the song performed in the episode 517, Compulsion, is "Elegia" by New Order, but I have this album (New Life) and it is an instrumental.
I'll try to watch that episode and write back as soon as possible, ok? Please wait a little bit more.
BTW, the link you send me is from episode 513, Nasting Dolls.

With my regards,

Amarilis Gibeli  -  "Searchin'  around..."
